Engineering is that branch of science and technology that is concerned with the design, building, and use of engines, machines and structures. This discipline consists of a broad range of specialised fields, which have emphasis on specific areas of applied science, applied mathematics, etc. There is a wide range of engineering specialisations or branches. The most common ones are-mechanical, computer, electronics and civil.Apart from this, the lesser known branches such as aeronautical, automobile, bio medical, Food Engineering and Technology, oil technology, etc. are also great options for a unique career.
Students and parents often get confused with the number of options available and are unsure which branch to select. To solve this dilemma, an online Engineering Branch Selection Test ( EBST) has been developed and designed by Prof. Kedar Takalkar by applying his vast experience in the field of counselling, especially to engineering students.Every student has to solve minimum 60 questions whose answers are in the form of Yes/No or MCQ type questions. You may take maximum 30-60 minutes to solve this test. EBST is restricted to the choices of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, Computer, Information Technology, Chemical, Instrumentation branches.Once you are sure of your branch, entrance exams such as JEE main and JEE advanced are required to apply to the engineering colleges. Students who have cleared 12th board or equivalent exams are eligible to appear for these entrance exams.
We provide counselling and guidance for these exams. We also guide the students for the actual application process, including filling the forms, selecting the right college and so on.We have an extensive data about various engineering colleges in the country and the available number of seats in each section. We can provide information about availability of seats, fee structure, infrastructure and other such details about the colleges where you wish to apply. We also provide guidance about the documentation required for admission procedure.
